I did it but it was more luck than anything. Opposite field bloops. The extra base hit was the hardest. I wanna say the first 10 games I had to hits then hit a homer 1st bat in game 11 then went 0fer the rest of that game.
I'm sorry but this is ***. I'm not trying to complain but when Ichiro and Gywnn make absolutely no effort to catch a ball between the stands and the foul line ( on either side of the foul line mind you) there is something wrong with the flyball fielding mechanism. I could see if they raised a glove and then maybe pulled it down to brace for a wall impact but they do nothing. Something isn't right and they need to address it and they know something isn't right or they would have commented during the stream. Everyone was complaining moments were broken and they literally made sure to make the point that moments weren't meant to be completed on the first try. Fast forward 2 weeks....crickets regarding flyballs and not locking on.
Finished off the Brewers doing the Mets now. It goes quick. Most games start 6th inning or later.
Its because if you are using button accuracy when you pick them off it switches to accuracy and usually its red because you are accustomed to just tapping the button to throw over.
And here we go again....
It literally made it so I can not bunt.
But just in case I didn't describe it properly. He was pressing the options button exiting out as fast as possible and pitching before I could send in a command to my runners.
I thought they would go back to back with the Mexico Series at least. Fri to Mon, Tues to Friday, Friday to Monday.
I am definitely enjoying this game more than 18. Line up construction is more fun and from a hitting aspect the game is more enjoyable as contact hitters are useful.
My only 2 complaint at this moment both seem to have come about after the patch. The buggy mlb stadiums and the fielders not locking on to fly balls. Oh and the line drive at the infielder but am given control of the outfielder instead.
Other than that it's a *** ton of fun this year.
Its funny you say that. My son and I sat down to play the event second game in we looked at each other and said why does this feel like 18. The game culminated with the guy scoring from second on an infield single to 1st with a player with 54 speed. I had the throw preload and he stood there and rainbowed the throw in like he was playing catch with a 5 year old. Not sure where the urgency went with fielders but it seems to have gotten lost somewhere.
Topps now wasn't bad. Vs the yanks make sure to work the counts. If you are swinging within the first 2 pitches you will probably lose.
I just posted last night. You have to work the counts.
I took Tanaka to 58 pitches in game one.
Paxton to 83 pitches in game 2.
I'm wired and my game was laggy af today. I thought maybe old Miami was just glitchy but maybe not?
Both foul balls my guys missed where about 5-10 feet from the wall. The center field play was also on the warning track. But it still feels like something is broken.
Live series collections. I have between 20 and 30 for each team I'm at lvl 88
I don't think that's it. I had Ichiro not lock on to a foul ball in a RS game last night and run right by it. Also had the same thing happen with my CAP in CF another diamond fielder and a bronze Tyler O'Neill in RF.
For some reason the game just decides when you aren't allowed to catch a ball. Bronze fielders I can understand but not diamond fielders on routine fly balls.
One guy posted that Trout has now taken 5 balls off the face since he picked him up. The way these guys are fielding they should all be DHs.
That is horrendous. Happened to me last year.
Somebody has to know something or have a theory?
Yeah that yanks o's moment sucks.
I think the point that a lot of the strictly online players miss is simply this.
It's not just an online mode. There is a whole section of the fan base that play diamond dynasty just to collect the cards. There was a guy on here last year that was literally just playing the game to collect any and every 1987 topps series card they released. For anyone born before 1988 (81 for me) it gives them the chance to go back in time so to speak and recollect cards.
Now I do personally play RS and I do play events but I can see why the OP wishes there were some stat missions besides innings (no one wants to grind 2500 innings with 1 team to reach 50 points). Some times you just want to play with the cards you collected without the stress that RS can bring. It can be relaxing. Not every game has to be a sweaty. But right now I can see where OP may feel SDS slightly forgot about it's somewhat to mostly off line gamers.
