Bumping for great justice.
I posted about this on reddit but got zero replies. I had a matt carpenter and then pulled a second one. Went to sell the duplicate, and the original one was gone. I know it was the original because I had him locked in. Makes no sense.
LF? There goes your credibility pal. Learn the positions in baseball, k?
Already did. I’ve submitted two but reports for different things. Both times I was told more info was needed and I would receive a pm. Never got a PM either time.
I appreciate your input, but the reason I didn’t deny your comment was that I was in class. As for stopping under the flyball indicator, I have been burned by that in the past as well. I have had situations where I release the stick when I enter the indicator and the fielder stops, still with his back turned to the ball, and it simply hits him and falls to the ground. That is even worse imo. I much prefer running through the indicator and most of the time it’s fine. It shouldn’t be just fine 9 out of 10 times, and then the 1 out of 10 times something goes wrong be called “user error” imo.
All I'm saying is I have played this game every year since 2015, and this is an out in every single game from 2015-2018. There is no excuse for a fielder to just chill out and let a fly ball drop on to his shoulders. That ball should have been caught.
I think the game is outstanding this year. It isn’t perfect, but it’s the closest it has been in a long time. My only complaint is pitching speeds in the CS and above are borderline impossible unless you are playing on a monitor. I played on a BenQ the last two years but switched to a TV this year. I was WS every season the past two years, now I have yet to win a single CS game.
I’m gonna keep trying and hopefully adjust, but even if I’m unable to compete as fiercely as I have in the past I still enjoy this game and will play it year round.
I had him at second base initially, but now I hide him in left field. I definitely wouldn’t play him at ss, and I have Arenado at 3b. He’s been pretty good for me in LF. 75 speed so he can get to the ball pretty easily, and of course LF is less important than the infield defense wise. His bat is definitely worth accompanying for somewhere on the field.
One of the diamond Willie Stargells. Both are great.
Did I mention it on here already? I didn't think I did. Anyway, I never filed a bug report because it wasn't worth my time. But, you never know. That silver could have been Sanchez (aka, 2,000 stubs).
Ha, I was on the opposite end of that surprise. I pulled a bronze from a guaranteed silver pack. Have it on video too. Mine was definitely some sort of glitch because that shouldn't happen.
I did one with the Cubs and really needed a dominant reliever, particularly a Lefty. I was only offered position players, and the only decent one was Billy Hamilton. I took him primarily to have a pinch runner on the bench for the playoffs.
Yeah, if this were 2017 you'd be right. But, its 2019. Schwarber ranks pretty high in LF defense now. He's not a bulky catcher learning to play LF anymore, he is in the best shape of his life and has gotten a ton of work in out there.
I hear you man. I wanted Morgan to stick in my infield, but yesterday I hit 500 program stars and ripped into my 5 free standard packs. Would you believe I pulled two diamonds from those FIVE standard packs? Well, I did. Arenado and Votto. I looked both of them in yesterday to get Cargo and Parker, two corner outfielders with absolute cannons for arms. I had been using Cargo at CF (secondary position) and Parker in RF, but Cobbs defense is LF (Secondary Position) is lackluster.
If I get Snider, I can have three great defenders in their primary outfield positions, each with an outstanding arm. I have always valued that. In fact, Parker and his 95 arm strength saved me a run earlier today when Trea Turner tried to tag up from third base. I didn’t know if I’d he’d be able to throw out a guy with 97 speed, but turns out he can do it all day long.
All along I thought I was going to take Morgan, but as of yesterday my infield is solid and my outfield could use a boost, particularly CF. I’m gonna have to go with Snider for now.
I finally beat it with a home run. Was really driving me crazy, I hit doubles and triples and it seemed like Goldy would always strike out or pop one up in the very shallow infield.
My welcome back player ended up being Wilson Ramos, and he is a stud at catcher. I just completed the Cubs M2O so I put PS Schwarber at catcher and moved Ramos to the bench. My only complaint is his speed (1). Other than that, very solid.
After you collect the cards you want, you may want to look into getting a nice display case for them. I just finished up my 25 man roster for the 2016 Cubs WS. But the display case I ended up going with only fit 20 cards, so I had to make some bullpen cuts. I'll drop the link below if you're interested.
Just to chime in here, I also experienced something bizarre with button accuracy in my last game. I had a flyball to mid RF with Eddie Rosario (95 arm strength) camped out under it. I got a green throw to my catcher (Wilson Ramos) and the ball went no where close to the catcher. In fact, it went out of play and two runs scored. Was this a glitch? I though button accuracy ensures a perfect throw if you get in the green.
Meanwhile I ripped 150 packs (ten 15 bundles). I pulled 1 diamond and 1 gold. Both were bullpen arms (Diaz and Greene)
Nice try Ramone.
I was a few hours away from home last weekend and had a few hidden trophies that I never bothered looking up. I used remote play to get the last few trophies for the platinum before 19. Hitting was impossible on legendary of course, but pitching was doable after you calculate the lag a bit. I ended up dropping down to rookie just to make it easy though.
I’ve gone back and forth with it and not only did I never master it, I also never enjoyed it. Maybe if I gave it a two week long run I’d be okay, but for now I’m sticking with meter. It’s grown on me over the past decade.
Pretty sure this limited edition Wood is his best year. I haven’t checked the stats, but he had an amazing rookie year (this card) then he missed the following year due to surgery. He came back good, but not great if memory serves.
