They said in stream DS and CS are HOF.
AS till DS and then DS and CS are HOF WS is Legend.
Very cool, be able to get to level 40 fast and get another Signature series card/diamond.
Gagne, Carpenter, Gallo, and Peralta are cheat codes.
Hader did only throw 2 change ups all year last year so taking away the pitch makes sense. If he starts using it more it will be added.
Pitch speed on Allstar looks slightly faster than 18 maybe closer to 17's speed. The feedback so far that I have seen has accurately portrayed the right hitting outcomes. Contact guys seems good but not enough seen yet to judge the hitting system. Pitching is going to be interesting because the more you use the secondary pitches, the less control you have.
Vlad is very good! My outfield is LF Trout CF Griffey RF Vlad and Ruth at first haha.
That is what I am thinking but possibly because he played two official games they still may have his rights for 19. IDK i know there is other threads to this but figured I would start my own.
At least you get a shot at a card after the a game...Most games don't do this. Go play BR and go 12-0 I am sure you will have enough stubs for Vlad...not to mention the new game is out in 5 days may just want to call it quits with MLB 18 there bud.
I agree I hope it comes out on Friday because I already have off tuesday and wednesday so I would just call out sick MOnday.
Nah always bronze 3 win silver 6 gold 9 wins and diamond 12 wins. Always how it is during release and months later it changes to the above.
I saw that gamestop had game releasing on 3/22 but I believe it is a miss print.
Honestly I think at launch they will faster than 15 but they will patch it eventually to be 16 speed may be a little slower depending on reactions of people. I hope not cause I like a challenge.
I agree with you....professional pitchers hit about 40-50% of their spots through out a season some may get as high as 50-60% and some as low as 10-20%. So if you want it to only be user input that is not a true representation of the game of baseball. Once you get use to a card on pure analog you can hit the line and circle almost everytime. WIth a card that does not have good control aka betances, the ball should be thrown more often close to where you wanted it and a few times hit exactly where you want it. I am talking like half a ball length to a ball length not drastic differences. Then if you ahve some on like Max scherzer who has great control, they should hit the exact spot you want far more than being slightly off. (opposite of Betances).
It put a lot of stress on servers for a mode that SDS did not get any profit from...Business wise it is a great move on their part...player wise...it is not.
I agree, especially with the implementation of pitchers hr/9 actually mean something. I fear someone with like 75+ hr/9 will not give up any hrs.
I don't disagree but there is not much of a difference especially playing analog between a guy with bad control versus a guy with good control when it comes to user input. May be they should of adjusted the green line thickness or the speed of the line dropping down, but even doing that everyone can get use to a pitcher and be able to then have 100 control with a guy like AJ Burnett. IF pitching is strictly user input only,,,control stat does not matter than IMO.
I think there should be two actions, if you don't hit a green throw or even sometimes it may be green through but it goes in the dirt, a second action pops up above the 1b that you then have to also hit green in order to scoop a throw. The better fielder the bigger the green. SO someone like Frank Thomas would be extremely tiny and hard to hit.
Guys to be honest, go watch a game and right down the amount of times a pitcher hits the catchers glove without the catcher having to move it even slightly...It is not that high of a percentage 30/40 for best guys in the league. I get it;s a video game but they want to make it close to real life. A guy with zero control should not put the ball where you placed it even if you hit the line and circle on analog.
Honestly I think it allows people to play what they want. I can confidently say I think I played more games on rookie vs cpu for all my Immortals than I did in RS. This is an online mode and should not be how it was in 18. There is still going to be SS cards that people will not be able to get unless its for a lot of stubs or are a good player...12-0 BR and WS especially with upped pitch speeds. I think the game allows people to actually have a good team pretty early on and does encourage more playing online than Rookie cpu grind.
I think we also need to see how the game freaking plays guy. Making all these assumptions and games not out for another 11 days. First off, according to Ramone, defense does mean something this year and with increased pitch speeds a very good defensive/pitching team may actually be able to combat an all power team, so a guy like Brooks Robinson SS may be far more useful at 3B then a Chipper Jones. WE have to wait and see at launch and next weeks tourney will help to.
