I’m curious as to how the game handles the season being in 2014 and also having players on your team not currently in the game.

I don’t believe it would be possible as you would need to sim through a season in each version of the game to migrate the franchise to 19.

I know you would have to bring your team to each version of the game, but wouldn’t the game pick up where you left off?

Youd have to sim to that years game season is what hes saying. 2015 season for mlb 15 etc

This is correct. If you try to import a save from the previous version of the game you get an error message saying you need to advance at least a year in that previous version or something to that effect.
