It's basically what the title said, I can't say I'm legitimately terrified because it's obviously a video game but there's a good number of finest cards that we could get because fans that don't care about the numbers. Some I can list off here are:

-Aaron Judge

-Javier Baez

-Bryce Harper

-Sale

-Gleyber

A lot of these guys are having really great years but definitely not finest worthy imo

a list of players I'm legitimately concerned won't get finest cards are:

-Rendon

-McNeil

-Gallegos(biased)

-Ketel Marte

-either JV or Cole just because the other will get one

-Scherzer or Degrom depending on who doesn't win Cy Young

-Mitch Garver

These are players that are having outstanding seasons but(other than Rendon) don't seem like absolute locks for finest

Obviously this is a topic of discussion in the community so It'd be cool to start a conversation

What if JV and Cole don't get one because Bregman gets one? How many Astros are they willing to do? If it truly is 30 finest with 1 per team, a lot of players who deserved it will get left off...

I originally wanted one per team until I realized that a ton of Astros and Degrom/McNeil could get screwed

9/22/2019 1:42PM PDT

I agree, I think it's 1 Finest card per team. Lots will get left out, but no one should take this thing seriously (I know, pointless...).

9/22/2019 1:42PM PDT

If Pete Alonso doesn't get a Finest card, it's a travesty.

Dude is having a PHENOMENAL season....this from a Yanks fan too

I'd love Pete but he already has 2 diamonds and McNeil or Degrom need one as well

9/22/2019 1:57PM PDT

^ What he said. Alonso already has an 85 and a 96 overall. I don’t think there’s any point in wasting a diamond card on somebody who has 2 when it could go to McNeil (hopefully) or Degrom.

9/22/2019 2:03PM PDT

As a tigers fan, i will actually be upset if it is 1 card per team. Boyd has had a decent enough season, but no one that plays on the worst team in baseball should be considered finest.  I really hope they do one player at each position for each league, 3 starters and 2 relievers each league.  That brings the total up to 26 with the remaining four spots to whoever has the 4 most votes of who is left

9/22/2019 2:05PM PDT

Better not be one per team. Tigers and marlins don’t have one. Orioles at least have 1, same with White Sox and Royals.

9/22/2019 2:05PM PDT

Honestly, I hate the voting thing. I get why they do it, but I think it has far greater pitfalls than it does benefits. As a community, we can’t agree on anything, so why would we think voting for these finest cards would be a great idea? Good luck 🤦‍♂️

Best case scenario they severely limit the number of players we get an option to vote for

9/22/2019 2:17PM PDT

I don’t know why they would do 30 specifically if it isn’t one per team. It makes sense as well, because pretty much everybody will buy the player from their favorite team along with the other good ones.

If it’s one per team, here’s my thoughts on who should get them. This is also assuming non qualified players are still eligible to get one, but I think at least half a season should be needed.

Yankees: DJ LeMahieu

Red Sox: Xander Bogaerts

Blue Jays: Cavan Biggio

Orioles: Jonathan Villar

Rays: Austin Meadows or Charlie Morton

Indians: Shane Bieber

White Sox: Yoan Moncada or Lucas Giolito

Royals: Jorge Soler

Tigers: Matt Boyd

Twins: Max Kepler

Rangers: Lance Lynn

Astros: Alex Bregman

Angels: Mike Trout (they have to, there’s literally no other good options here)

A’s: Marcus Semien

Mariners: Tom Murphy or Kyle Seager

Marlins: Brian Anderson

Braves: Ronald Acuna Jr.

Nationals: Anthony Rendon

Phillies: JT Realmuto

Mets: Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, or deGrom

Cubs: Kris Bryant

Cardinals: Paul DeJong, Jack Flaherty, or Gallegos

Brewers: Christian Yelich

Pirates: Bryan Reynolds (could’ve been a sick Vazquez card, but not now)

Reds: Eugenio Suarez

Dodgers: Cody Bellinger

Giants: Mike Yastrzemski

Padres: Kirby Yates

Diamondbacks: Ketel Marte

Rockies: Trevor Story or Arenado

There are literally no Finest players other than Trout that would even make my team.

what if all 30 aren’t like 92+ maybe like the bottom feeder teams get 85-87 diamonds and the top dogs get 92+

I would be surprised if it's not a tiered choice pack to buy and a non-choice pack you can earn later (also tiered).

Very possible

9/22/2019 2:52PM PDT

People are saying 1 per team since it’s 30. I don’t think this is the case because There are multiple guys from the same team that are having really good seasons. I do believe that they should at least make a poll of the best 3 of every team, and whoever gets the most votes gets a Card. These should be guys that have played a significant time though, not Aaron Judge (Yankees fan here, I know he’s having a really nice 2nd half). Guys that have been great for more than 100+ games.

9/22/2019 3:34PM PDT

They should have 15 position players, 7 starters and 4 relievers, then have the fans vote for 4 non chosen finest cards,(this is where players like Gleyber and McNeil get votes)

Some people would be pretty pissed if they gave some Finest cards an 85-87 rating, even if its the booty teams. Finest is suppose to be the Signatures of guys who aren’t getting signatures this year. For example, Jorge Soler, can’t give this guy a sig card, but you can give him a really  good flashback Finest to make him compete with all the other high diamonds. I think these should be 93-99.

If they aren't doing 1 per team then they should definitely all be 92+
