First is SS Andrew Miller worth the grind?  I'm two missions away (never thought I'd be this far in, as the first 4 weren't too tough).

1. 35 k's in 5 games.   I do well with Verlander.   Gibson ruins every run.   Once I skipped the 2nd game and did really well with Feller, but seems to be a waste... This is really what I'm tired of.  Got down to 12 once, which doesn't seem close.

2. Last mission doesn't seem bad.   Just a grind with good Right handed bats. And check all the boxes.

Any advice would be great!  Thanks!

The 35k moment took me two tries. Try to get a good game out of Verlander, 13-15 Ks. Then it is just a matter of keeping the hitters off balance. But getting a lot of Ks with Verlander is a must, he seems to be the only one with decent stuff.

That last moment was hell for me, I used directional hitting and held the stick up and in, for some short bombs. Make sure to do the SB right away. I had Jackie leading off, if I didn't get the steal I restarted. Because that cost me once, had everything but the steal.

Also, don't be afraid to go to your pen early if you aren't getting the strikeouts. And use players you are comfortable with. I tried loading my lineup with lefty bats, but went to my reliable team, and got it.

Wish I could be of more help, but if I can do it you can too. Good luck!

Miller is worth the grind because there’s not a ton of lefty bullpen arms that are as good. Plus, the 30k stubs you get is a nice added bonus. Just keep at it and you’ll get it.

Miller has nasty stuff but he's seriously wild. I blew a HUGELY important game with him my first time out because I was trying to paint the corners on HOF. He just throws stuff all over the place. The batter can't read the pitches, which is good, because the pitcher also has no idea where they are going. I think he's an amazing middle man, or good for a specialist if you are in a spot where you can ATTACK the zone.  If you have the bases loaded, and a talented opponent, I would NOT bring him in.

Thank you!  These are all good points... especially forgot about the Stubs at the end.   I've only tried the final game once and after a while I'll get timing a bit down. The strike outs happen but I just always give up the 5 runs.   Always seems like Gibson fault.   9-13 ks with Verlander and at most 1 run (4-5 tries).  Gibson ruined all the runs. Maybe I just can't pitch with him.

Some people say that they try to get 7-10 Ks a game...once they do that, they quit the game and go to the next one (before giving up any runs or 1 ATM).  That way, Gibby doesn't screw you for the runs.

The trick to the strike out moment is how you start with Verlander as someone mentioned and not being afraid to quit a game. I got 14 k's with Verlander and gave up one run. Gibson only got me 5 k's and in the 5th inning gave up a 2 run double. Instead of trying to even finish the inning I just quit. You get the K's and no other penalties. I did the same with Feller and Lefty becuase I only had 1 more free run. I did really good with Lefty and got 8 k's in 4 innings. As soon as he got a runner in scoring position I just quit. I used Feller until he gave up a run on a HR, which put me at 4 runs given up and 28 k's. Nolan got me the last 7, but it was not comfortable. Last pointer, if you're down to one run you can give up and you give it up, you can dashboard out of the game with no penalty. It will not restart you at the first game and you won't lose the game stats like it does when you exit. If you go this route and have a reasonable amount of K's left for Nolan, it should be a piece of cake.

I saw that somewhere as well, but i have to get past the 10 run comeback to get there, lol.

I would've beaten that Andrew Miller challenge if it was in any other ballpark. Everything not directly at the poles is hit a mile but it's always caught. And everything that would be a HR if hit in the air is always a grounder. Just the worst luck for me in this park, and it's been like 3 years of this lmao

If you have a runner on 1st and second and do a double steal, does it still count as one if one guy gets thrown out?

Assuming the game has the rules right, no

key is pitch good with verlander, and if you mess up then you can quit the application and then restart that gibson mission.  That way you dont have to restart from verlander again if you had to re do everything.

No, I tried that one run, had two slow guys on, was hoping the game had a glitch that would count the runner on second.

i don't know who you leadoff hitter is, I used Jackie, and if he didn't get on and get the steal I restarted. Sounds crazy, but it seems like there are very few SB chances as the game goes on. At least for me anyway.

No. BUT, if you have a runner on 3rd with less than two out, you can perform a squeeze bunt (send the runner and then bunt). If you lay down the bunt and the runner scores, you get credited for a steal. This can work with even a slow runner at 3rd.

I'll admit, I cheesed the SO moment.  I pitched a CG SHO 12 K's with Verlander.  If I got into trouble in any of the next moments I.E. give up a two HR, you can close your application, reboot and start the game over with no peanalty.

I had to do the Ks mission a few times. Verlander sucked for me barley got 10 Ks with him and gave up 3 runs, then had back to back 12+ K Shut outs with Gibson and Feller then only need 5 more with Grove still had 2 runs to spare
