*I* consider myself a slightly above avg player. My RS high is 747. My record is 78-56, and my slash is .256/.297/.393. ERA is 2.62.

The current season I'm 537, 4-4 record. Slash is .292/.449/.346 and my ERA is 2.58. I recently switched to a monitor about a month ago. I've been playing the show since 2007, but this is my first year playing RS

What you consider yourself is all that matters

Let me break it down for you.

If you’re worse than me at this game, then you suck a$$.

If you are better than me at this game, then you are a no life virgin living in your mom’s basement.

That’s a fact. Luckily for all of you, you all just suck a$$ at this game.

I just want to say that I think Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. And I'm Pre - pubescent hahaha. People are better when there's a little self deprecating involved. This has been kind of entertaining to read though ( see like 12 pages ago) lol

If this thread only makes it to 360 I will totally understand. It was a great run gentlemen

Just here for a quick bump. Hola Will, como estas?

8/23/2019 12:04PM PDT

Subjective question, my subjective answer: "Good" as far as RS goes, would be someone that consistently makes the Divisional tier.

Elite: Consistently Top 50

Great: Consistently WS

Very Good: Consistently CS

Good: Consistently Divisional

Pretty Good: Consistently WC

Average: Consistently Pennant Race

Not bad: Consistently AS

Newbie: Never reaching AS.

How would you translate this to Event records?  Just spitballing...

Elite:  Almost always gets 12 wins per entry

Great:  Consistently gets 10+ wins per entry

Very good: Consistently gets 8+

Good: 6+

Pretty good:  4+

Average:  Consistently gets more wins than losses in events

Not bad:  Around .500

Newbie:  Well under .500

Numbers would be different for BR I'm sure that's a whole different game.

Furthermore when using ranked season rating as a guide do you account for games played? Someone that makes it to world series playing 15-20 games from 650 is a lot different than someone taking 120 games to get there from 650 are they not?

Absolutely.

The correct answer to the original question is... it doesn’t matter.

Muy bien mi amigo

That’s hilarious!  If it were truly the case, why do we still see the same guys atop the leaderboard as years prior??

You are good at this game if you can:

1.  Adjust to your opponent's pitching style;

2.  Consistently square up and time;

3.  Mix pitches;

4.  Hit situationally; and

5.  Manage your bullpen effectively.

I think it just matters that you win a lot more games than you lose not how you win those games

I would agree with that

8/24/2019 1:32PM PDT

I don't get why it should matter how u win the games.. if you're a good pitcher and rely on that, or vice versa, it doesn't make a difference. At the end of the day it matters that you win games not how u get it done imo

I use WiFi when I play... if it really makes a world of difference to use wired vs WiFi, then maybe I should give it a try.

Yeah I dont get this. I play on 55 inch tv and wifi and make WS. My internet speed is really good though but is it that much easier on monitor?

Monitor does help for sure with input lag. Even with game mode on a TV, there’s a noticeable difference. I made WS consistently in 17 on a 52in TV, but my hitting really took off after switching to a monitor.

Yeah I made WS in 17 every season and this year have the 2 seasons I was able to put time into it. If only my wife would approve a monitor purchase I could test that out. Oh well lol, better for my marriage that I dont

Haha I understand man! I got a gift card for Christmas a few years ago and decided to take the plunge. I’d say it was worth it.
