Why did they get rid of Josh Hader’s change up? I just saw him throw one yesterday.

Since March of 2018 Josh Hader has thrown 1,596 pitches... 6 have been change ups.  That is .003% of his pitches, can't really argue against leaving it out because he really doesn't throw it.

HeII, he only threw his slider 18% of the time in 2018 and this year he's thrown it 11.4% of the time.

Very true he’s been throwing so many fastballs this year

Those responses up there are ignorant^^^^ if the man is throwing a changeup in real life, he needs to have it in the game. The % is meaningless

If a player trips off the mound and tosses one in to avoid a balk would you say that the guy needs to have an ephus?

Guys probably screw around and throw all kinds of stuff during bullpen sessions and whatnot, he doesn't use his change up in game at all and really hasn't since his rookie year...and even then he barely used it. Safe to say he's basically abandon the pitch and it shouldn't be part of his arsenal in game.

What's ignorant is using the word ignorant when it doesn't apply to the discussion.  Pitch usage is completely relevant, how do you suppose they determine the break, control, and velocity attribute with such a small sample size?
