I just want some specifics on this. We already have an RNG problem when it comes to locating pitches, and this seems like more RNG pitching. I do get the idea behind this tho. Trying to avoid some sort of unrealistic meta. But this fix is just as unrealistic. If batters are consistently missing a guys curveball, and they aren't adjusting, he's gonna keep [censored] throwing it. Just give me specifics on what penalties are being handed out and when they are being handed out. Is it 3 of the same pitch in a row? 4? 5? Is it easier to hit? Harder to locate? Does the penalty reset after one other pitch? All of this is sounding really arcade like, and it worries me. Some clarity would be appreciated...
I mean if you throw 4 change ups and one batter misses them all, eventually the opponent will grab a hanging one and do damage. It’s just telling you to mix your pitches nothing to get stressed about.
No that's how it should be. They are saying they have programmed inside of the game for there to be penalties for throwing the same pitch
So if someone threw you 5 straight change ups, and you didn’t touch them with one batter, then you shouldn’t be able to start seeing them better as the game progresses?
Yeah you should be able to see them better, ON YOUR OWN. Not by the devs adding some code that makes inferior players better. That's lame af
It's for the tools who spam knuckleballs the whole game
Except for with Niekro, the knuckleball is his primary pitch and they said that the primary pitch won't be affected by this. Niekro will still be spammed, unfortunately.
I’m really worried they are going to screw up 19 (just like 18) by adding in more randomness.
