Cue the "now there's too many HR's" complaints.

Hitting was actually realistic IMO. Now it's going to be HR Derby like in 18 all over again.

Agreed. May as well play 18. All there doing here is trying to appease the players who think everything they hit should be a homerun. How about fixing the very early and very late swings that result in foul balls damn near 90% of the time?

Well I went back to play the Kenley moment and the last moment and did both easily on one try since the update.  Still cannot do the 35 K's though.

I have the last mission and Kenley mission left. I haven't even tried in a week or so.. The new update made that much of a difference that you were able to finish them?

How in the world is squaring up a 99 mph pitch with good timing for a 94 mph exit velocity realistic?!

Because not every hitter generates 100 MPH+ Exit Velo when they "square up" a pitch IRL... That's how.

So far the update looks good to me, I was finally able to beat the 9 inning game for Miller. I hit 3 Homer's in the 1st inning and got it done on my 2nd attempt since the update. This after 100s of attempts the past 2 weeks.

This was the easiest one. They chase the breaking ball and high cheese too much.

Literally everyone in the big leagues is hitting the ball with 100 mph exit velos. What are you talking about. The ball comes off the bat harder, and the pitch is 90-97, you, I, or anybody could have a exit velo like that if you could catch up to a mlb fastball. Go take a trip to statcast and look at average velos. Sure the leaders are at 94, but they dont square a pitch up every time. It doesn't matter how big or strong you are, if you know how to swing a bat, and you barrel up a ball with a wood bat, its gonna fly. You ever go to a field with a wood bat? Try it. Not to mention the ball change in the MLB, that things like a golf ball or bouncy ball now.

Only one player who has put at least 50 balls in play hasn’t reached an exit velocity of 100 mph.   That was Billy Hamilton and his highest exit velocity is 99.9 mph.  His barrel percentage is 0.0%.

6 other players with at least 50 balls in play have not registered a barrel either.  Their max exit velocities are between 102-108 mph.

Ignorance is bliss though.

HAHA, Billy Hamilton sucks. And he isn't nearly a good a bunter as they make him out to be in this game either. He is just an elite outfielder, mostly due to his range. His starting days are over and deservedly so. The Reds were idiots for letting him leadoff for 3 seasons+.

Big facts. RNG I get , like I said before theres lil moments in a bunch of those games (usually close games) that some do stupily like myself like steal with a 64 speed and 10 Brag, extra bases you know your dead on especially at the plate etc etc

What a great reply. Guys like that are always like “do you even watch baseball” and then say something about baseball that hasn’t been relevant since 2014. Some people just can’t accept the fact that it’s a different game these days

Don't worry.  I think they put in the notes that Little Billy code was not adjusted.  Your games will still be close.

This nerfs SS Nolan Ryan big time, but I'm okay with that.

I am 50 and I would bet my house I could generate a 90 mph exit velo on a BP pitch.  I would also say almost every MLB players is going to get 100 on 95 mph fastballs.

If they don't hit the ball harder than it was thrown, they didn't square it up.

9/23/2019 12:15PM PDT

wow, i might actually be able to hit off kershaw for the last moment on moments extreme. literally everything i barrel up dies before it hits the gaps, or is straight away 460 feet. lol

yeah for that moment, before the update, nothing was hit hard enough to get past those guys. it was a no fly zone. plus you cant hit anything down the lines unless its a bomb, cause youll get hosed goin for that double. i beat it on my pretty much first attempt. i restarted the first couple til i cracked a double and went from there.
